Jacob Sturm

Hello, welcome to my portfolio.

I was raised in Edmond, a suburb of Oklahoma City. Growing up, my family consistently traveled to Stillwater for Oklahoma State football games, piquing my interest in athletics coverage at the state level. I applied to Oklahoma State University, starting my college experience in the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology before realizing the field was not for me.

 

I joined the O'Colly, OSU's student newspaper, and realized the field matched my interests. During my time at the O'Colly, I have covered men's basketball, women's basketball, baseball, men's tennis, women's tennis and others. My work has appeared in the Stillwater News Press, where I contributed to high school coverage as a string writer.

I also have experience recording and editing podcasts. I have appeared on Triple Play Sports Radio as a guest. I also have experience in sports photography.
